In cooperation with the National Research
Council in Vancouver, this four-year research project focuses on chronic
wear problems in the industry, such as undercarriage wear of dozers and
pipeline abrasion. The study will test existing materials and will target
new potential wear resistant materials. This work is being conducted in
conjunction with suppliers to ensure that any learnings can be quickly
turned into new and improved products.
